Most talking plush toys repeat a handful of recorded phrases. Ted is different: your child speaks, Ted listens, and answers what they actually said. That is the difference between a toy that talks and a teddy bear that talks back.
What "talks back" means with Ted
- It answers real questions. "Why is the moon following the car?" gets an explanation at your child's level.
- It invents stories together. Your child chooses the hero, changes the plot, adds their cat. Ted follows.
- It remembers who is talking. If your child says their name and age at the start of the conversation, Ted remembers and adapts, so Emma, 6, and Julien, 4, each get their own way of speaking.
- It speaks your language. More than 60 of them. Parents switch the language in the app.
How it works
Ted connects to your home Wi-Fi. Your child speaks, Ted understands and replies through its speaker. You choose how Ted listens: automatic listening, for a flowing conversation, or push to talk, where your child decides exactly when to speak. Parents stay in control through a mobile app, with guardrails on what Ted talks about.
What Ted does not do
- It has no camera and no screen.
- It does not recognise voices, and your child's voice is not stored.
- It does not work without Wi-Fi.
- It is not a replacement for you. It is a tool for stories, words and questions, and many parents use it alongside their own bedtime reading.
What is in the box
A 24 cm teddy bear with its electronic module inside, and the full charger (plug and USB-C cable). One hour of charging gives more than 10 hours of conversation.
